Monique is excited to join the Fire This Time Festival play the track of “Percy, Jasmine and Lakeshia.”
Frigid New York will present the 14th Annual Obie Award-winning The Fire This Time Festival running from January 16th through the 29th at The Kraine Theater in New York City. The festival aims to support the work of early career playwrights of African and African-American descent. It was founded in 2009 by playwright Kelley Nicole Girod and since has produced the plays of dozens of emerging writers. Read what FORBES had to say about this historic festival .

EST FIRST LIGHT FESTIVAL
Monique is thrilled to play the timid tech wiz “Janelle” in EST/Sloan Project’s first public reading of “HELLO, WORLD, “ a new play written by Margot Connolly and directed by Alex Keegan. The play takes us inside two teams of teenage girls as they compete to see who can code an app that could change the world for the better. As we watch them, we have to ask: who decides which app and cause are most worthy of winning?

The year started off with a bang, with the announcement of “A Ring: The Short Film” being selected for the Deltas of Charlotte Foundation Legacy of Black Women Film Showcase.
‘WaDe’ is selected for the BRIDGE PHL FESTIVAL.
Monique was over the moon to work on the excerpt: A Comfortless Tale, with the esteemed Kalif Troy at the directing helm.
48 HOURS IN HARLEM
Monique A. Robinson performed in the 9th Annual 48th Hours in…Harlem’s production of “Séance” by York Walker and directed by SaMi Chester. Monique played the role of Danielle.
